Message | OOC: Dude, don't make the HoS "President" - 20 nations have that title for their directly-elected Head of State, and it makes the game boring when all the nations are the same with Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Chancellors. Maybe you should have named the HoS "Commisar" and named the HoG "President" or something. This will kill Keymon and turn it into another bland republic. |

Message | OOC: You can’t get through to these “types” All they do is leave a nation they get tired of and move onto another to destroy it, pretty much like a parasite. Thankfully I’ll never be like that. |

Message | OOC: you can call me a parasite all you want, I intend on staying for a while, I rather like the single region of this nation, I like the island. This is a game, you can use ad hominem attacks if you like, or you can play the game. If in the future you have the two thirds majority again, as you very well may, to reinstate the monarchy, which I personally find to be a despicable institution, than you can very well do so, I will not resort to such attacks as you. If you lack the two thirds majority, but are interested in working to create different titles, and perhaps a parliamentary or other type of government system, so long as it is democratic, I am willing to work with you. My party is the DEMOCRATIC Communist Party, I can not stand in power with the votes necessary and not dismantle the monarchy. However, if their is a way that we can have a sort of role play monarch, where they are not recognized as the head of state, but are still somewhat revered as a national symbol, I am also willing to work with you on that. Be advised that the Republican Party also supports this, so I am not the only "parasite" in this country, and you might want to make nice with one or both of us. If you are willing to be respectful and play the game, you will find that I am a very reasonable person. |

Message | OOC:I do own you an apology. So I am sorry for calling you a parasite. Plus I’ve been in Keymon for 2 and half years and love it here and have grown accustomed to presiding over it. I understand your point and position however im a bit frustrated on losing the system I put in place. So if you can excuse my indifference I would be happy to cooperate and stuff for now and into the future. |

Message | OOC: I have a suggestion that is neutral and makes way for interesting RP... Both the President and the Royaliwith monarch can claim to be the head of state. First, abolish the "Head of State" position by leaving the title blank, as we demonstrate in this bill in Lodamun: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=388167 Then both parties should run with their desired title as a part of the candidates name, for example... The DCP would run a candidate named "President _____" The INP would run a candidate named "King Augustus I" or "King _____" That way, whoever wins gets the title they want, and each election will be treated like a referendum on the whole issue of "who should be head of state? A King or a President?" Meanwhile, neither will have power or any significance except RP, and the head of government will be the one calling the shots (so seats in parliament will matter more than an HoS election). To make things more interesting and to add relevance to who wins HoS elections, you could change the law to only allow the HoS to make cabinet proposals. That way, the HoS has to cooperate with whoever the Senate elects as Chancellor. |

Message | OOC: Creating a republic is one thing, but why naming the HoS "President". There are already too many generic English-speaking republics in the game, and Keymon has a rich lore. You could at least have come up with something more creative, ie. "Administrator", "Guardian", "Consul", "Director General" etc. |

Message | OOC: Yup. Keymon and Lodamun will be added to the list of bland republics with a "President" as HoS. Keymon is #21, and Lodamun is #22. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=388453 |

Message | OOC: It wasn't bland before you came. |

Message | OOC: Chaiman as elected HoS not entirely require intelligence, elected prince non-sense, President as HoS not great either. Apart from the name of President what is bland about my system. |

Message | OOC: In my system, the Chairman didn't have any power; he only played the role of speaker. I just had him as a placeholder (I never really wanted an HoS; the system was supposed to be a republic where the President is elected by the parliament instead of directly-elected, eg. Cuba, South Africa, Botswana). The Chairman/Prince was a placeholder, and wasn't really there in the game. The President, who wasn't directly-elected, called the shots. Your system isn't even a distinct system; it's just a copy of 21 other nations, adding "of the Five Nations" to make it look different. Why does every nation need a directly-elected President? Couldn't you have something else as HoS and kept the President as HoG? -- Why are we bringing it to this thread anyway? Romulus invited me to this issue, after which I showed him I'm having a similar problem. I just posted a link to the bill; I wasn't discussing it elaborately before you came here. |

Random fact: Moderation reserves the discretion to declare RP laws invalid if the players supporting them are doing so in an excessively confrontational way. |
