MessageMadame Speaker,

This is the ZPP's most sensible proposal to date, though it is a half measure.

MessageMadame Speaker,

While my party is glad that for once we sort of see eye to eye it is unfortunate they continue to press for more radical reform. Selective service must remain as we do not live in a safe neighborhood by any means. Terrorists strike at us at random, and despotic authoritarians often fight as many wars as civil wars causing immense instability in the continent. Having a ready pool of military man power is top priority for our national security. When we have less hostile northern neighbors and the Deltarians get a few generations of sane rulers then we will consider abandoning conscription.
