MessagePassage of this bill doesn't mean passage of your comments that were made after the bill was set to vote. Only what was included in the bill description will be in the bill. Since no specific measures have been specified in the bill itself, it doesn't have our vote. Was there also consideration for the expenses of such measures? Was there consideration for the fact that we have rising tensions with some other nations, and we don't want such tensions to escalate? We want to stand strong, not start a war.

Lodamun already has the Military High Command as a parliamentary Committee.

MessageIf there are rising tensions now is the time to show our might . A strong country should have a strong leader who will not back down in the face of adversity. The comments made are actually the measures we would like to see employed. Taxes could be increased by 2% to offset costs of such military expansion and we could get funding from nations we have military pacts with to finance the cost of any war. Does the parliamentary committee of the Military High Command have voting rights? I think not. They can only propose legislature. They should have more than just a say. They should have a choice!

MessageIf there are rising tensions, when our might is already known, showing more is only causing aggravation. Our leaders have not backed down, we have held strong. There is a difference between being strong and being careless.

Which taxes will we raise by 2%? There are 25 income tax brackets, 2 types of sales tax, and corporation tax. You can't just say "Let's raise taxes by 2% to offset costs" - you haven't even stated the specific costs. You haven't researched the costs, and you're already sure about how we're going to cover them? We do not have any military pacts with any nation.

The Military High Command does have indirect voting rights. Committees don't just propose things, they vote on them before proposing them. It is up to the cabinet and MPs to honour the votes or not. It wouldn't be sensible to, for example, propose going to war when the Military High Command votes against it. It would have a psychological effect on the MPs and the country, thereby influencing whatever the legislature votes.

Before the Office of Chairman was abolished, a Chairman made the mistake of breaking his constitutional restrictions. It was the Military High Command, and not the Presidium, which voted to oust him. A majority vote in the Military High Command can trigger a military coup.

We advise you research our country's politics before making assumptions.

Random fact: Large scale RP planning (such as wars, regional/continental conflicts, economic collapse, etc.) should be planned (as best as it can be) and should have consent of a majority of players involved.
