Bill: Armed Forces Redundancy Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Blanka Zardigalo Partio

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3594

Description[?]:

Mr Sigmund Framer, Defense Minister

As we cannot currently afford to maintain the current size of our Armed Forces, we hereby propose that all Armed Forces personnel be "rightsized". Please instruct your men to leave their equipment at base and go home immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to pay their owed backwages or any severance. I know your lads are good, honest lads, so I expect that they will go home quietly, and refrain from stealing military equipment or engaging in any countryside banditry. It's imperative that you stress just how important it is that they behave morally, as we're not currently in any position to prevent or punish them for wrongdoings.

Francis Garret
Member of Federal Parliament, BZP

MessageMadame Speaker,

We support this measure, as it would obliterate Zardic imperialism.

MessageMadame Speaker,

It is bad enough that our police force has been dismantled. If the army is dismantled too, then what will be left to defend us from the forces of anarchy and disorder? The politicians support this are little better than criminals.
