MessageWell, I have always wanted a Wal Mart Distribution center in Kirzon... J/k

Any comments? Preferably, we need notable Dolgarian figures and statesmen.

MessageWell, why would we stick with figures or statesmen ? Cities are rarely named after people, at least in the old world...

MessageHere are the current Cities, but please put them into the description of the Bill, along with any new ones we add, and we'll ask the mods to add em all at once. Also open to amending the existing ones. :-)

Lirath County:
* Darina (National Capital)
* Port Kyren (County Capital)
* Dolgarton (Former Capital, and historic home of the royal family prior to the restoration)
(Needed because sometime in the 2080s, the capital city was named after an assassinated politician from the Libertarian party - so where did the royals live before, and where was our capital before?)

Karzon County:
* Kingston (County Capital) (another ancient royal capital with some nice historic chateaux)
* Playasol (Largest city in the nation)

Kirzon Valley County:
* Riversberg (County Capital)
* Devanterton (Added for Empress Devanter)

Quagotu County:
* Kyoshi (County Capital)

Hodari County:
* Point Wanniki (County Capital)

MessageIf you're going to name things after politicians, surely something should be names after Stomm Stommson, our longest serving Prime Minister...

MessageIsn't the limit 5 per county? So we can have a total of 25. I have no problem in having a city called Stommville in either Hodari or Quagotu.

MessageI want waltonville to be the most important international-trading dolgarian city in karzon.kinda like a Hong Kong.

but yea, we have 20 cities to blow. So... all of RPD's cities, plus devantertown er whatever, and etc sounds good. I'll post a new debate.

I agree with Stomm's perspective, but stomm (the prime minister) wasnt assasinated, and is still alive if i am not mistaken.

but anyhow

MessageStomm can die of natural causes and then get the city named for him. Plenty of politicians actually do get things named for them after their death by other-than-assassination (i.e., how many Jeffersons, Washingtons and Jacksons are there in the USA as placenames... all three lived to a ripe old age...)

Waltonville can be a major port city...

Each city would ideally get an entry in the wiki, so there'd be some ability to add other stuff, like the history of the city, etc. I'd be curious about things like what cities were named before they got their current names, particularly for Darina, Devanter's city, and Stomm's...

MessageThat's what I'm thinking, died of a heart attack at the ripe old age of a hundred and twenty nine, shortly after getting booted out of office.... I mean he did serve as PM for what, 30+ years or something? And well he'd been around since I started playing the game, so was probably well into his second century.....

MessageAnd just plain old Stomm as the city name will do. We don't need to invent new ones, just replace some of the existing ones, which wer merely added as place-holders a while back.....

Which ones were placeholders?
I dont really like placeholders unless there was some sort of symbolic significance attached.

Message"Landengstaat" for Kirzon Valley.
"Edonovo" for Quagotu.
"Fort Cameri" for Hodari.

Here are my suggestions.

FromLiberty and Prosperity Party
ToDebating the !!IMPORTANT DEBATE!!! New Cities !!IMPORTANT DEBATE!!!
MessageI'm going to make some suggestions based on my theme for the nation's ethnic breakdown, climate, and geography:

Hodari (Since I suggested it's like the Netherlands, and we can use a Dutch-like language for the ethnicity's language)
"Port Wanniki" renamed "Hodarhaven" (haven is port in Dutch, and I am guessing the people of Hodari call themselves Hodars)
"Stommstad" (stad is Dutch for city)

Lirath (Since Lirath is like Bavaria in my geographic description, I guess the Dolgars are like the Bavarians/Germans)
"Dolgarburg" instead of "Dolgarton" (burg seems to be more common in Bavaria that stadt, so that's why I used that)
"Anker" instead of "Port Kyren" (Anker is German for Anchor. I figure the city is a port, so it seemed clever to me)

Quagotu (I figured it was like Poland, but I'm using Prussian names since Prussia did exist in northern Poland, and Dolgars I already equated with Germans).
"Kyozi" instead of "Kyoshi" (sounds polish =P)
"Vieleseen" (would translate from German to "many lakes," again seemed creative to me)
"Ostseen" (would translate to "Eastern Lakes," seemed creative again...)

Kirzon Valley (Theme continued, I figure the Kizenians are like Ukrainians)
"Pekapol" instead of "Riversburg" (Russian Peka for river with Ukrainian Pol for city. If LPD could correct me on this, that would be great... I cannot speak Russian or Ukrainian, and figuring this out is like walking around blind)
"Kizeniv" (named after the Kizenians)
"Devanter" (I think Devanterton sounds flakey, so just Devanter)

I cannot bother with Karzon... and Irish them, and all, it would be too difficult for me after all this. Lol

MessageI subjectively added cities, but they all sound good.

SDUs post
I added EDonovo and Fort Cameri
German sounding Landengstaat didnt match with the russian sounding cities in Kirzon Valley

Asfar as LPP
I only didnt add Vieleseen and Pekapol,
First one sounded redundant to Ostseen, and Pekapol is a goofy city name.

We have 3 cities for each region. If our future leaders or parties decide to add or remove cities, they will be able to do so from this starting point

MessageIt's too late, but actually river in Russian is "reka", not "peka". However, because the Russian and English letters are different, the Russian letter "P" has the "r" sound. As to Ukranian, although most of my ancestors are from the Jewish village of Berdichev in Ukraine, only one person in my family (my grandfather) knows Ukranian.
Anyway, I'm for.
