Bill: Vertraulichkeit, 3621

Details

Submitted by[?]: Solidarität

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3622

Description[?]:

Herr Präsident,

In order to deal with the tsunami of white collar corporate crime, the police require greater powers on investigation. The right to privacy is important, but this must be balanced against the need to uphold the law and tackle corruption.

MessageHerr Präsident,

Solidarity's frivolous approach to law and order is unworthy of the dignity of the law. This bill, as outlined by Herr Siegel, aims to put some groups under general suspicion. It is highly discriminatory, and should not be alllowed to pass if we want to maintain the immaculate reputation of our executive.

MessageHerr Präsident,

It is LV and not us who adopt a frivolous approach to the law. They want to make it as difficult as possible to prosecute big business corporate crooksters, whereas we want to give the police a fair chance to bring them to justice.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "Men are so simple and so much inclined to obey immediate needs that a deceiver will never lack victims for his deceptions." - Niccolo Machiavelli
