Bill: Zuwanderungsgesetz 3622

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nationales Bürgerforum (NBF)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3622

Description[?]:

An Act to restrict foreign immigration

Herr Präsident, the excessively liberal immigration policies in place at this current time are not in the national interests of Hulstria and Gao-Soto. If we are not to be a laughing stock as a sovereign nation, we must not forsake the right to decide who comes to this country and who gets to stay.

MessageGicho-sama,

As per the coalition agreement, we can for once fully agree with Strötzel-sama's measures, if not with her knee-jerk nativist rhetoric. This is not a matter of sovereignty, but simply of economic sense - if we are to make immigration work for rather than against working Crownlanders, to bolster our economy rather than increase unemployment amongst our own citizens, then we have to do this. That is the only proper reason to do so.

MessageImmigration is a great social and economic benefit to this nation. There is no need for these alarmist and reactionary measures. Those right-wingers who are so keen on the free movement of trade and capital should also, surely, be supporting the free movement of labour.

MessageHerr Präsident, the nation can see Solidarität's true intentions: turning Hulstria and Gao-Soto into an international welfare centre which does not protect Hulstrian and Gao-Soton jobs or our sovereignty. Their claim to represent the interests of the working people is nothing more than a sham if they are happy to allow immigrants to take our jobs. Of course many immigrants do contribute to our society, but this ridiculous free-for-all is a national disagrace.

MessageHerr Präsident,

Through its rhetoric, the NBF is revealing itself to be a cheap and nasty party in search of cheap and nasty votes. The Crownlands are proud of their liberal traditions, and deserve better than this divisive anti-immigrant politics.

MessageHerr Präsident, there is a difference between being anti-immigrant and wanting to control the flow of immigration to preserve our sovereingty and to preserve jobs. Any reasonable person would have noticed also that social division has been caused by excrssive immigration. Of course, Solidarität has only contempt for the jobs of the common people, being more interested in padding the pockets of corrupt union officials. The only difference between Solidarität and the parties in government is that they want to redistribute the wealth of the common people to different sets of elites. Solidarität is an expensive and nasty party: nasty because of the offensiveness of their beliefs, and expensive for those who have to pay for their land-grabbing, over-taxing, pro-union policies.

MessageHerr Präsident,

I remain puzzled by Karl Hellwegge''s exceptionally low opinion of our party, especially since he himself was a member of it until so very recently. Has he gone off the wall a little, perhaps?

MessageHerr Präsident, I left the party not because I went off the wall, but because the party went off the wall. It is a testament to its incredible duplicity - and, until recently, successful duplicity, I must admit - that it has so quickly abandoned its founding values and has instead jumped in bed with an elite which pits it against the interests of ordinary, hard-working Crownlanders.

MessageHerr Präsident,

Open borders policy is one of the best policy of Hulstria and Gao Soto have ever achieved, it enhances competition for labour and provides a sanctuary for those who escape from wars, genocides and famines. Unlike the NBF, we don't buy their anti-immigrant rhetoric and we fail to see why is it so bad to have non-Crownlander to be employed in Hulstria, it provides competition for labour, it makes our products cheaper and since we have a well established, maybe too well established welfare system that protects who fails to find a job, I can't see the logic in NBF, we have cheaper labour, we ensure well being of unemployed Crownlanders and our country is more competitive than most of the countries in Dovani. I think this policy is pro-market and pro-labour. We vigorously oppose this attempt to undermine Crownlander businesses like that.

MessageHerr Präsident, I suspect that the average Crownlander, and the unemployed Crownlander especially, would not exactly be charmed by the ehrw. member's talk of having foreigners come in without restriction and offering excessive competition for jobs. Her statement that foreign immigration would lead to cheaper labour demonstrates that her belief is in a race to the bottom for wage-earning Crownlanders.

MessageHerr Präsident,

We have necessary regulations on minimum wage and worker's rights, we also have thriving unions, I think worker's have necessary equipment to protect themselves, unlike NBF we do not seek only open shops, we seek allow every kind of shops, so that worker's have adequate power to defend themselves against unfairness, you should look at your own policies on labour because your policies not ours harms the workers of the Crownland.

MessageHerr Präsident, we do not object to workers being adequately represented by unions. However, if they choose to opt out, it is their right to opt out. On the other hand, it's rather difficult to opt out of suffering from competition from migrants, is it not?

They can move to other countries too, we have 20 countries that pursues open border policies in Terra, they can move to one of them.

MessageHerr Präsident, the solution proposed by the ehrw. member is nothing short of absolutely appalling. Their suggestion is that hard-working people who have been born and bred in the Crownlands be sent away to foreign lands if they don't like being unemployed. Why? So that we can let more foreigners in. That is disgraceful. If they want to attack the interests of the Hulstrian and Gao-Soton people in such a shameful manner, it is them that should leave the country and go somewhere else. Its obvious that their allegiance is not to this country, but to foreign countries.
