Bill: Religious Diversity and Vitality Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Beluzian Movement
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3643
Description[?]:
In addition to our previous bill, this will will allow a religious dialectic to take place within our borders. The irrational tendrils of mysticism will stimulate new modes of thinking, and with our previous bill, encourage our tax coffers as religious activity expands, and thus expands our taxation base. We also propose the regulation of religious ministers, to take efforts to prevent corruption and entrenchment through wealth. Lastly, with the new influx of religious ideas and preachers, we add the addition of legislation for local governments to decide upon laws regarding religious blasphemy, to ensure intervention in areas of religious conflict, without imposition from central government itself. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries.
Old value:: The government requires foreign missionaries to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Current: The government has no policy concerning the visitation of foreign missionaries.
Proposed: Foreign missionaries are welcomed and encouraged by the government.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Remuneration of ministers of religion.
Old value:: The state does not intervene in the remuneration of ministers of religion.
Current: The salaries and pensions of ministers of religions shall be regulated by the law, but shall be borne by the religious communities themselves.
Proposed: The salaries and pensions of ministers of religions shall be regulated by the law, but shall be borne by the religious communities themselves.

Message | We would oppose " Local governments decide on penalties for blasphemy." On foreign missionaries we have no objections. On remuneration of ministers of religion, we have reservations but nothing we would actively oppose. |

Message | Removed blasphemy clause. We will let the religious incite as much discontent as they please. |

Message | Noted. We have no additional proposals we would add to this Bill. We would vote to pass it as it currently stands. |
Date | 09:34:54, March 27, 2014 CET | From | Feministas Verdes | To | Debating the Religious Diversity and Vitality Bill |
Message | We have some concerns with the implications of article 1, and would be opposed to the invitation of further interference of inherently patriarchal religion in Beluzian society. Though largely opposed to any government endorsement of religious belief, we would be willing to consider the admission of certain religious representatives following an in depth and independent evaluation of their beliefs and practices, however we are unable to support this bill as it stands. |
