| Herr Präsident, The current reckless non-policies on advertisement regulations allows for any sort of indecent and exploitive pictures to be used as a bait for selling unrelated services and products to customers. For the sake of our children, and for those exploited for such enterprises, we ask this noble house to let us reinstate proper regulations on advertisement techniques. | Message | Herr Präsident, this law opens the door for all kinds of censorship and enforcement of politicians' personal morals on society and industry. It is shamelessly authoritarian and anti-free speech, however much the Governor-General may invoke the cause of "decency" as a justification. As for "truth in advertising", there is already a law against the publication of false information, and this bill is completely unrelated to making sure that no obvious falsehoods are spread through advertisements.
