MessageMr. Speaker,

Whereas the ruling government has disenfranchised 47% of this body;

Whereas 47% of this legislature (all save the ruling party) voted down a resolution of confidence in the government;

Whereas the said 47% of this body represents a majority of the country;

We do propose this bill to this body for debate and deliberation.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Federalists are crazy if they expect us to support this motion. We would be open to a coalition, but not like this. Traditionally, the GNRG controls Finance, Trade/Industry, and Foreign Affairs. We don't see why Finance, one of the country's core cabinet portfolios, should be handed over to a party with no seats in the Presidium.

We have a majority of seats, and our approval is therefore needed for any cabinet or budget proposal.
