Message | The PWG supports articles 3, 4, and 5, although article 3 does not go far enough. As for article 2, the PWG sees state ownership is no better than private ownership. What is needed is a balanced combination of private, public/state, and collective ownership. And to article 1, how does nationalising energy provision protect workers's rights? The PWG support local energy provision because it has been proven to be more environmentally friendly than centralised provision. 1. Local grids mean that each region can find a renewable source best for their unique geographies 2. Local generation means less cost and infrastructure for transmission 3. Local provision means that small-scale privately/community-owned generations are possible. This allows small scale generations through wind and solar sources for homes and/or small communities. |
