Message | Does the Navy have no servicemen and servicewomen? And we think the numbers of the EES and IES are far too high. ESPECIALLY for the IES. Why do we need to spy on our citizens more than we do other countries? |

Message | That's a good point PWG. Why so many IES? |

Message | We are going to vote "no", mainly because we want to see this topic discussed again. |

Message | Yes, with things like this it is always better to reach a working majority before going into voting. Back to espionage, we are concerned that the IES might spy on Gaduridan citizens and residents. We think what might be a better idea is having the below: 1. State and local police departments for actual policing 2. A federal police department for federal cases AND domestic surveillance (i.e. including foreign elements in Gaduridan territory), although its powers need to be strictly regulated with strong oversight 3. An intelligence agency for intelligence gathering outside Gaduridan territory. (IRL USA police departments, FBI, and CIA. The FBI employs approx 35,000 people, the CIA 21,000. The USA has 3 times as many people and 10 times as many states as Gaduridos. Considering the above numbers and scaling, I think around 7,000 for the IES and 4,200 for the EES would be appropriate?) |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect |
