September 3689
Ministry of Defense Building, LlanymĂ´r, Sildar, Republic of Aloria

I speak to you today to inform you of the dire consequences that will arise if the Military Overhaul Act is passed. The Republic of Aloria has long been a nation of freedom and liberty. The government must be prepared to defend our values, our people, and our interests abroad. This bill would undercut all of that. This bill would undercut the gains that we've made, and it would endanger our future endeavors. I ask the political parties in Congress to vote "no" to make sure that our armed forces are adequately armed so that our people may be safe.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I wonder what a silo full of nuclear missiles and biological weapons says about "our values, our people and our interests abroad."

We can be so much better than this. I would like to state for the record that I am of course shocked that the military is not keen to have its biggest toys trimmed back, and God forbid a gay person should stray into the picture - who knows the horrors that will be unleashed!

MessageMr. Speaker,

The correct place for sarcasm is on the Alorian Broadcasting Company's "Tuesday Night Live", not in the halls of this grand chamber. I would not address our national security issues in such a complacent manner. The safety of our nation, and the safety of Terran, does indeed lie on our military power. For without force, how would any of our domestic and international resolutions be enforced?

As for the issue of homosexuals, the military is not a place to find a mate. That issue has no place in the military.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I insist the Congresswoman retract her homophobic snide attempt at humour. By the precedent of her statement about finding a mate perhaps we should stop all workplaces allowing men and women working alongside each other for of course they are there to work and not to mate. Homosexuals are not animals who see another animal and just need to copulate. Grow up and open your eyes. The world of restrictive, bigoted little old men holding a nuclear bomb in one hand and their crotch in another is over. Here come the free thinking people who see how the world can look different. Yes peace has been kept in the past through obscene military force BUT that does not always have to be the way.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Perhaps Mrs. Gomez could express her devotion to the issue in less foul terms. The Union Party has already expressed their position on the issue. This back-and-forth serves no purpose than to smear the opposing party, and there are other, more pressing, concerns to deal with at the moment.

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer.
