Message | Rt Hon Harold Clarke, Hutorian Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, our party must vote against this measure because we fail to see the logic behind its implementation. Making the accepted form of testing a practical work based one, we believe undermines the view of intelligence as the standard measuring stick with which we measure children within the education system. We believe that children should be educated and assessed with the correct forms of standardised examinations that will provide them with the knowledge to succeed in high quality jobs within important sectors of the Hutorian economy. This reform will see the classic socialist approach of equality by limiting the abilities of those at the top to compensate for those at the bottom. |
