If the government finds significant evidence that the whale population is headed towards extinction, then they can simply adjust the quotas in accordance with that evidence. We believ that whaling is a terrible act, that hurts majestic, benevolent and intelligent creature in the name of profit and unnecessary hunting. However, we do believe that research is vital to innovation and knowledge, and vital to the future of Gaduridos. That is why we support it, but even then we must demand strict codes of conduct, and strict submission of research based on this whaling. It should be minimal, and as painless as possible.
