MessageMr. Speaker, the Shed Party is not supporting this treaty because we do not believe such a weak treaty, as the one proposed for ratification is, will actually go far to preserve the monarchy. However, if the Minister Jones (of Foreign Affairs) were to draft a treaty that resembled the "Constitutional Reform Act of 3701", we would be willing to support it. That being said, we will not support the ratification of this inferior treaty being proposed by Minister Jones, especially when he has the power to draft a treaty that would better suit our needs, and perhaps the needs of other like-minded nations.

MessageRt Hon Harold Clarke, Hutorian Prime Minister,

Mr Speaker, we reject the idea that this treaty is weak as the member opposite would suggest. In reality this treaty would offer another piece of legislation that further strengthens the Monarchs position within Hutorian society. I believe that the Hutorian Monarchy should have the protection it deserves and i believe that an international treaty to further protect the Monarch is in the interests of the Hutorian state.

Mr Speaker, as for the members suggestion about a treaty that takes the form of the recently approved Constitutional Reform Act, we must regrettably inform him that such a treaty is not possible to draft.

(OOC: it genuinely isnt allowed/possible within the form of a treaty - i checked.)
