Message | Madame Speaker, The Christian Union is in favor for a just international policy. It's not normal that a diplomat should gain immunity on certain cases while other have to obey the law strictly. In the Eyes of God everyone is equal, and thus also a foreign diplomat. We also would like to grant financial aid for the refugees that are coming to our Kingdom. These people already has left everything in their country and in most cases they arrive in our Kingdom empty handed. They start their new lives with a huge disadvantage. We would like to help them to integrate them more quickly in to our society. It's in everybody interest that their integration runs smoothly. The CU would also like to raise foreign aid towards the poorer nations. A limited amount with forced trading rights is not in the interests of our Kingdom. Small will be answered with small. A more generous and unforced aid would gain more trading ties over time and a greater image of our Kingdom. i yield the floor. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, while we could support articles two and three our party believes that diplomatic immunity is fundamental in maintaining positive relations with foreign nations and as such can not support this bill. |
