Status[?]: defeated

Voting deadline: October 2171
Description[?]:
We have noticed that the government controls many aspects of the economy, This has its advantages. We have observed also, in other nations, that private enterprise also has its advantages. but too much of a thing is always harmful. Therefore, we believe that a private sector should be able to co-exist with the public and sector in a certain balance where the maximum benifit can be obtained from the both. We propose enacting legeslation to allow some degree of private enterprise to be present in A'Badara which will co-exist with the public sector which will still retain the control of the major aspects of th economy and services. |

Message | Would the "No"'s be satisfied if some measures were taken off? I would like to point out that most areas will still remain under government control. Maybe if I struck out acts 2,5 and 6? |

Message | We have proposed some of these articles in the past, but we must oppose article 6 on worker's councils. Splitting the bill up seems a good idea. |

Message | And how exactly is a small degree of privitisation is exactly corruption? |
Date | 21:28:09, January 14, 2006 CET | From | Union of Progressive Ulama | To | Debating the Restructuring Act |
Message | In fact the UPU has proposed many of these measures in the past, despite the opposition of our allies in government. A slight relaxation of state control is compatible with UPU policy. |
Date | 00:43:28, January 15, 2006 CET | From | Ishtirakiya Party | To | Debating the Restructuring Act |
Message | a "slight" relaxation is the first step towards making our great country a completely privatized state. |
Date | 01:01:21, January 15, 2006 CET | From | Revolutionary Socialist Council | To | Debating the Restructuring Act |
Message | We share the worries of the Ishtirakiya Party that this may well be the first step of radical privatisation. We wish to ask the UPU and DRP to state their stance on the economy, and whether they intend to go any further. |
Date | 02:02:45, January 15, 2006 CET | From | Union of Progressive Ulama | To | Debating the Restructuring Act |
Message | Ou policy remains a mixed economy. The state and worker-run cooperatives should control most things and the state regulate for the greater good. But small family-owned business should be permitted to function as well. We do not intend to go any further. |
