Message | Madam Speaker, While we could possibly support articles one and three the inclusion of article two and the lack of specification of what one and three will entail forces us to vote no. |

Message | Madam Speaker, Firstly I thank the Hutorian Conservative Party for supporting this. As this bill will pass thanks to their support this marks a major leap-forward in terms of the ecological survival of our country. In regards to the Federalists' concerns. Article 1 will bring us in-line with other major economies such as Luthori, Dundorf, and Keymon. It will ensure that companies and industries will abide by our pollution standards, standards which will place emphasis on the protection of the environment and not on companies and industries making a little bit more money. In fact, the three major economies I referred to have felt very little if any economic impact following the implementation of such a law. Regarding Article 2, this will mean that all new vehicles produced in Hutori or imported into Hutori must use environmentally-friendly fuels. Examples include battery or electricity-powered vehicles, ethanol-powered vehicles, vehicles which are powered by other natural products such as vegetable oils, or hydrogen fuel. This will have an enormous impact by cutting greenhouse gas emissions and will also improve air quality and therefore cut lung-related illnesses. Article 3 means that the waste disposal industry shall be nationalised and operated by a government agency. The current policy means that local governments decide and have the power to the leave the responsibility to private, unregulated companies who put profit before anything else. - Maiara Niviarsiaq MP, Minister of Environment and Tourism |

Message | Madam Speaker, Firstly I would like to thank the Green Party for answering our inquiries. Secondly while we completely agree with articles one and three number two is a bit disconcerting as we believe that the transition from fossil fuels should be a gradual one as to not shock the economy. |

Message | Madam Speaker, The move - as I highlighted - would be gradual as old vehicles that use fossil fuels would be gradually phased out rather than being banned, and all new vehicles would use renewable and environmentally-friendly fuels. I am not sure whether the transition could be any more gradual. - Maiara Niviarsiaq MP, Minister of Environment and Tourism |
