Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3719

Description[?]:

Traitorous and criminal military officers in Kafuristan have overthrown the peoples' government in an illegal coup. Our country has a moral duty to speak out against this outrageous and undemocratic action, which we fear threatens the freedom not only of Kafuris, but of everyone in Majatra.

MessageMr Speaker,

These are delicate affairs. The corrupt and totalitarian government of Kafuristan needed to go and the people rose up. Further, the Zardic Federation did not recognize the Communist government and instead recognizes the Government in Exile based here in Belgae. While we applaud the fall of the communists more work must be done. As we speak the sanctions regime is being lifted and normal ties will soon be restored to Kafuristan.
We will work for a positive reconciliation process and the development of a free, democratic and stable Kafuristan.

Petra Roskane
Foreign Minister

MessageMr. Speaker,

It would be helpful if the Foreign Minister would explain why she considers Kafuristan's illegal military dictatorship to be so much more preferable to the peoples' government it overthrew? We do not say the communists were angels, but they were taking serious strides towards empowering ordinary people in their country, whereas the new government seems to be moving in entirely the opposite direction.

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
