Bill: Regulating industrial pollution

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alorian Green Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3765

Description[?]:

Our planet's greatest challenge as of now is the global climate crisis. Growing emissions are causing extreme weather in the poor parts of the world, and the number of refugees caused by climate changes are growing dramatically. We have to take responsibility by cutting our emissions, and having strict rules for industries in Aloria of how pollution is going to be handled. Not only does pollution cause problems in the developing countries, but even in our own country. Lakes where our very own children swim and play in during the summer are becoming more and more acid, endangering everything that comes in contact with it. Animals and fish die, and we get worse air quality.

To protect the environment from the adverse effects of pollution, many nations worldwide have already enacted legislation to regulate various types of pollution as well as to mitigate the adverse effects of pollution. Aloria is one of the worst countries when it comes to regulation of pollution, but we got the chance to change this.

MessageHow can you claim to be a party working for the nation, while being against this proposal? How can you sit by, watching rich companies releasing their industrial waste in our country's fine nature, destroying the living conditions for both people and nature? I am dissapointed, Minister.

MessageWe oppose this verison

We could support this: The government provides pollution prevention guidelines, but does not enforce them.

It's very easy to be against your current one the keyword: "highly restrictive" for example: in forms of red tape, and polices that have negative short term and long term effects on the economy. When dealing with environmental images do not just focus on nature and the planet, don't forget human beings and what we need a working economy, jobs, ability to pay bills and buy what we want. Also giving power to government to enforce it would just mean fees, lawsuits, etc.

MessageEven providing guidelines for pollution prevention is a start, and the Green Party is willing to enter that compromise. We have changed the proposal, so are you willing to support it as it stands right now?

MessageThe government should enforce the guidelines. More rules means more control which makes God happy which should make you happy.....right? I hope so.
