Message | This will give more power to the employer. The Labour movement fought tooth and nail for the 8 hour workday, we fear this will undermine that struggle. I'm very curious to why CNP feel the need to change this balance. An argument from CNP on this bill would be much appreciated |

Message | We have drafted this bill because Citizens of Solentia have petitioned for us to do so, given where the polls stand on the issues. While we do not espouse such ideals, we cannot ignore the voice of the people. January 3757 Opinion Poll (RE: http://classic.particracy.net/viewnews.php?after=21084&before=21096&nation=42) An opinion poll was held among the citizens of the Democratic Republic of Solentia. The subject of the opinion poll was The Government's stance on a salary cap. When asked what their opinions were, the following choices were made: Percentage Choice 21.74% The government has no stance on a salary cap. 26.22% The government enforces a salary cap. 21.32% Labour Unions and Organizations of Employers negotiate a salary cap. 20.10% There is a national maximum wage but local governments may enforce stricter salary caps. 10.62% Local governments decide on salary cap laws. |

Message | I see, so it's a purely populist bill? Or is this bill in line with CNP's party platform and would have been created no matter the outcome of the poll? |

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others. |
