Message | Letting local governments handle public libraries is that they can be cut out of the local budgets way to easily. |

Message | And if that is what local people want who are we to deny them? The people favor decentralisation, their wishes should be taken into account. |

Message | The elected government has a responsibility to support and manage knowledge to our people. Letting the government control the libraries will result in a library system based on quality. It is not denying the locals democracy to take control of the libraries nationally, but increases the threshold to remove funding for libraries because one local government is struggling with the economy. |

Message | However; a lot of bills are being proposed to move stuff to the national governments control instead of local or private sector, thus increasing the size of government, increased spending when all that extra spending can be spent on other stuff programs and projects. We oppose large government, focus more on smaller, giving power to the local governments, or have the private sector handle it and if needed provide oversight/regulation. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
