Bill: National Debt Clock

Submitted by[?]: Liberal National Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3774

Description[?]:

(OOC): I think we should have one updated every election times it by how many years and if we hit a surplus then we create one for it. IT will make the game more like real life because the game does not

MessageMr. Speaker.

I leave finances up to the finance minister. If he thinks this is good we will go with it.

MessageOOC:

Sorry, I wouldn't go wit just starting it abritrarily now.
This $18bil deficit doesn't account for the 500,000,000 LOD surplus that Lodamun had for the past 200 years.

Also, if it is only recorded at each election, it won't take every year into account. We know the game doesn't record this; that's why we're working on Particracy 3.

MessageWe would count every year like if there are four years in between elections we times by four.

MessageOOC:

Maybe that's what we should do for the past 200 years that we had a surplus between $100m and $500m.

Makes more sense now, but it's pointless unless every nation is doing the same and updating it on a sheet that can be incorporated into the KFS' spreadsheet.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.

Random quote: "It all came from there." - Lech Walesa (pointing to a TV when a reporter asked him why communism fell)
