Message | Why would you take away subsidized public housing for low-income families? |
Date | 04:11:32, December 29, 2014 CET | From | United Democratic Party | To | Debating the Public Housing Reform |
Message | We are not taking away public housing. We only transfer the responsibility regarding constructing work to the private sector. Low income families will not be affected by this reform as we identify low income families and then provide contracts to private construction companies to build houses at a competitive price while ensuring that relevant safety standards are met. Low income earners shall continue to receive public housing at zero cost. |
