Bill: National Fire Department
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2167
Description[?]:
The NCP believes a centralised department for fire-fighting will lead to an improvement in standards and an equalising of performance across the country. We do not support the idea of some Ikradonian citizens being subjected to inferior fire departments simply because of where they live. If left to local governments then those with high funding, the rich areas, will have much superior services to those with low funding, the poor areas. |

Message | We think that local governments are far more capable to respond to the needs of the fire department of their administration. We prefer the current legislation. |

Message | We find it strange to see this proposal coming from the NCP. In a previous bill (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=25765), the NCP supported the devolution of fire department authorities. We oppose for the same reasons as the SIP. |

Message | The NCP has reviewed its position and changed it as a result. |
