Bill: Call For Lasting Peace

Details

Submitted by[?]: KORACE

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3813

Description[?]:

With the victory of the homeland over the Jelbic Hordes almost secured we call on the government to call for a lasting peace that will ensure the stability of the region and plea that the government will insist on the dismantlement of the Jelbic Empire into separate liberal democracies and peace with honor with the Barmenian Shahdom. We disagree with the war but assuming that we win then we demand that the government uses the opportunity to spread freedom and to spread democracy. This is not a call for chauvinism or jingoism but merely a call for a common sense peace treaty.

We believe that this proposition will be acceptable to our colleagues.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We shall only accept peace when the Jelbec Empire shall;

1/ Fully retreat.
2/ Compensate Zardugal.
3/ An Zardugal occupation force alongside the border is in place.
4/ A DMZ of 99 km between the occupied zones within the Jelbec Empire is set.

MessageIf the Jelbic Empire is not dismantled then it shall be a victory without honor and an unending cycle of war and temporary peace.

MessageMr.Speaker,

Honorable members should take note that what the Party Leader for the KDC is suggesting is not ruling out other consequences such as those listed by the SDP and is not calling for peace NOW, but is calling for the Jelbic gang-nation to be split up in to different nations to ensure the rise of a fascist horde will not come again. With that we will vote for the bill and will request other actions as well. However, I would remind the honorable lady Ms. Rubena that we did not ask for this war. The empire invaded us and had us in retreat for months, slowly scraping away our borders. My party is a very non-interventionist one, however the purpose of Military is to defend and protect its citizens at home. Should we have surrendered to the Jelbic plague and subjugated our citizens to terror? No. To those who would have called for us to back down I say we shall never bow to tyranny- not in the pit north of our border, not in deltaria, and NOT in Zardugal!!!

MessageMr. Speaker,

Of course we are in favor for the dismantlement of the Jelbec Empire, yet we strongly believe that the early demands i stated would be met in a peace deal. If these demands are not being taken in to the text that we are voting upon, then we'll have to reject such a text.

MessageMr Speaker,

The time is not yet for peace. However we must be prepared to finish the war and do it soon. A dark cloud is gathering in Eastern Majatra which we must confront. We should not be overly harsh in peace when new adversaries mount abroad.
