Bill: Budget proposal of March 3816

Details

Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3816

Description[?]:

"This bill's 20% cut to our military may look drastic! but think about. We aren't in any wars right now, and keeping our military budget low will encourage us not to get into any in the future. We care about defense, but it isn't more important than our budget. Along with this, we also propose an article to make the military a part time endeavor. This ensures that military men can get good jobs on the side when they aren't actively in duty."

~William Paul, Minister of Finance

MessageA 20% cut to defense spending is suicide, particularly considering the threat posed by Kafuristan. We oppose.

Message"Um, no they don't want to make us slaves. If you want to declare war on them, do it. We will allocate the same amount of military funds regardless because we shall end the war quickly. What we will not do is declare war on an insignificant religion."

Message"Can you explain to me exactly how they will defeat us? They are primitive. Their weapons are weak; their military is big, but it is quite primitive in terms of fire power. If they attack us, they will be a beetle and we will step on them. It'd be unwise for them to attack us."

MessageThey have more than three times our defence budget! If they wished to attack us now we would struggle to hold out at all. Wake of Solentia!
