Bill: Nemo illegitimus

Details

Submitted by[?]: Factio Republicana Socialistica

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3819

Description[?]:

The hypocritical stance of the Selucian government, which aims to use the refugee crisis as a means to promote Selucian imperialism without caring about the lives of the refugees, is both illegal and immoral. No person is illegal, and the Barmenian refugees should be immediately accepted and integrated if we are to call ourselves a civilized nation.

MessageDear Senators,

this is absoulutly outragous and breaks with Selucian tradition of non-immigration to this country. We have no ethnic or seperatists movements because we are all from one culture.
Look around terra what differences in nations can cause.

We are voting no.

MessagePatres Conscripti,

Tradition or not, we must recognize that we have a severe crisis on our hands, where ethnic Selucians were deprived of their homes and now of their life. The government of Selucia itself is guilty of this, and we call for the end of Selucia's genocidal actions that will certainly make us pariahs in the eyes of the international community. We do not call for Selucia to become an immigrant nation, but we do call for a modicum of decency and humaneness. Otherwise we are no better than genocidal Wantuni or theocratic Barmenia.

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).

Random quote: "Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage." - Niccolo Machiavelli
