Bill: Industrial Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3828
Description[?]:
"Our industry needs change. How come government is legally able to protect our massive and abusive corporations with tariffs, but our businesses get fined through the roof for safety problems? If a business isn't safe, people shouldn't work there. Also, international competition may hurt our businesses, but it certainly helps the consumer. We also are ending corporate welfare here and taking a bit of power away from unions. This bill neither helps nor hurts corporations; it just gives the government less power in their affairs." ~Tom Rand, Financial Director of the LPS and Minister of Trade and industry |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
