Bill: Party finance bill 3832
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Liberal Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3833
Description[?]:
This bill believes that parties should be able to solicit donations from members of the public, as well as the state. This would give our citizens more of a say in our political parties and the political system. As the New Liberal party we believe that if people wish to dispense money into political parties then they should be able to do that. |

Message | No, but we feel with state funding and private funding it gives our citizens a bigger role to play in our democracy. |
Date | 23:07:52, April 18, 2015 CET | From | Federal Green Party (FGP) | To | Debating the Party finance bill 3832 |
Message | We are strongly opposed to this. Let people vote to get represented. Opening money would essentially give the wealthy a greater vote and a greater say in their Republic than other citizens who do not have the means to make heavy donations. The interests of the donors would be represented more than the interests of the people and the interests of Solentia. -Jill Klein, Chairwoman of the Federal Green Party |
