Bill: Contraception Promotion Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3834
Description[?]:
It is vital that we prevent the spread of STDs in our nation. Standing by and doing nothing will lead to outbreaks of easily preventable sexually transmitted diseases. Let's not sit by and do nothing! This proposal is an extremely cheap way to deal with the issue. Having to pay for the increased medical costs when we see a rapid spread of STDs, especially amongst the poor, would be far more expensive. Not to mention that this policy is the single best policy to decrease the amount of abortions that take place. With or without a ban, people will still get abortions. But with contraceptive use encouraged we will see a steady decline in the rate of abortion in our nation! Thus it is not only a sensible policy from a health perspective, it is also a Pro-Life policy. Indeed, it is the most Pro-Life policy there is, when it comes to actually decreasing the prevalence of abortions in our nation. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
