Message | OOC: Hmm perhaps have the "law changes" in one section, like how you separate definitions, and then take the applicable regulations (that attach to the laws) in a separate section/article. And if you do (i) or (ii) it is better to separate them into their own paragraphs for readability, i.e.: (i) blah blah blah (ii) blah blah blah as opposed to (i) blah blah blah (ii) blah blah blah |

Message | OOC: Also, just for uniformity sakes, I reserve usage of "Articles" for constitutional things/amendments. "Titles" are for referral to U.S.C. titles or C.S.R. titles. For drafing bills, I would stick with using § (sections) in place of articles. So here it'd be § 1. DEFINITIONS. Defined for the purpose of this legislation are the following terms: _(1.) Employment Institution: any organization, private or public, non-profit or for-profit, that actively hires employees as regulated under Title IV U.S.C. § 2. Appendix (A.), § 1 of the U.S.C. dictating retirement age, will be amended to show the national minimal retirement age as being 57 year of age. (OOC: I only use (i) if there is more than one item) § 3. RULES & REGULATIONS. _(i.) Employment Institutions, as defined for this legislation, are prohibited to force their employees into retirement without reasonable medical reason. Such medical reasons include any form of physical or medical condition, age related or not, that may place the employee or others at risk, or otherwise inhibit proper and timely completion of labor related tasks. (Statutory Instrument {S.I.} A-001) _(ii.) Employers who fire, lay off or otherwise terminate the services of an employee for legal purposes outlined in the previous subsection will be required to provide their former employee with temporary unemployment benefits, equal to half of the employees salary. These benefits may last for up to one year after termination, and can only be cancelled prematurely by the recipient. ({S.I.} A-002) _(iii.) Employment Institutions who are unable to pay off the Unemployment Benefits outlined in the previous section for finical reason, can have their liability waved by a court. If this is the case, the National Government will pay for the remainder of the recipients benefits. ({S.I.} A-003) |
