| Patres Conscripti, The lands to our West have been in chaos for more than a decade. Ethnic Selucians and Felinists are massacred daily, an avowedly anti-Selucian militia has been slowly gaining control over the country, and countless people have lost their homes. It was Selucian policy of creating minority governments in Pontesi that led to this disaster, and now we must account for our mistakes. With the passing of this bill, the Senate authorizes the Consuls to intervene in Pontesi and restore order and stability. Consul Hadriana shall be sent in command of Selucian peacekeepers, authorized to ensure that Selucian populated areas remain outside the control of the Jez'kar militia; her Imperium shall extend over the entire Pontesian territory in order to achieve that goal. Consul Sophus shall remain in Selucia to ensure the security of the nation. Iunia Porcia, MInistra of Defence OOC Agreement: This war may end with the conquest of Pontesi by Selucia. The war may have consequences for Selucian internal RP. |

Nonetheless, I find it worrisome that the Moderates are so keen to assign good Consul Hadriana as the commander of this expeditionary legion. But I will accept this as my health is not what it used to be, travel and harsh circumstances shall not be for the good of my being. But, fellow Senators, let us keep a firm hand on this war. There is no central government in Pontesi, and 'Prince' Lazr obviously does not see himself bound by any treaty or law, or indeed morality. If anything, this war is necessary for the preservation of the guarantees offered by the treaty with Pontesi. As long as Lazr roams around freely, there is no guarantee that the lives of the Selucians in Pontesi are protected. They look up to us for safety and peace, and it is our duty to give them that. | Message | Dear Senators, this intervention is an utter disregard to the facts. There is a liberal party in Pontesi and it is upbuilding at the moment. After the next election this party together with the other liberal party will have a majority and will restore law and order and you know it! This is not a politcal decision and do not try to sell this as such. This decision is a military decision and will only strgenthen the military apparatus in this country and not help the plebs or anyone else. I it were a poltical decision the government would have first tried to negotiate with the rebels instead of risiking Selucian blood. We ask esepcailly the left parties which seem to fight for the Plebs: How does this war help this people? Instead of more social programms the money is wasted on weapons and guns without paying any intention to the plebs. And who do you think will fight and die in this war?
