Mr Spreker, We live in a day of age in which criminals are not in the position to provide information. They can obstruct our justice procedures. This is not acceptable and especially in situations where our citizens are placed at risk. I will not stand for that. Daan Wilkers Shadow Minister of Defense Added Clause: Suspects, who are classified as terrorists, can be tortured. Someone who is not a classified terrorist can only be tortured if the information is vital in stopping a terrorist attack. Torturing any suspects who do not fit either of these situations is not allowed, |

Message | Mr Spreker, The Farmers Party agrees that torture can be useful. However, we only feel this way if it is a terrorist situation as our party takes a firm anti terror stance. We move to add a clause to this bill. The clause would be the following. "Suspects, who are classified as terrorists, can be tortured. Someone who is not a classified terrorist can only be tortured if the information is vital in stopping a terrorist attack. Torturing any suspects who do not fit either of these situations is not allowed." The Farmers Party feels that this added clause will give police the power to stop attacks, while preventing the wrongful torture of non-terroristic criminals.
