Message | Senators, Different religions and cults interpret the age of adult responsibility in different ways. For Hosians, the ceremony of confirmation, usually conducted at some point in the teens, is a key marker. Pagans tend to focus on the age at which menstruation commences, with girls, or with boys, sometimes the age at which he experiences his first nocturnal emission. However, these markers are all very arbitrary and do not form a basis for setting laws about the age at which adult responsibility begins. We must therefore oppose this Bill. We would, however, consider setting an age of responsibility for girls that is a little lower than boys, since girls generally mature faster and, for that matter, tend to remain maturer than their male counterparts throughout their adult lives. Message | Senators, There is no particular day in a person's life when they cease to be a child and become an adult, so whether the age of maturity is established by the state or by religious communities, it is bound to be arbitrary. The fact remains that there is no uniform system for recognizing maturity accross our various communities, so it is better that such matters be left into their hands. Maio Palpellia Vindex Senatrix |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
