Message | Labour would favour an increase in tax for corporations, however 17 to 26 is very sudden and damaging. We do not support raising taxes on essential goods - this typically hurts the less wealthy. |

Message | A 2 per cent tax is absurdly low and leaves us incapable of establish a tax base. Corporations, that is, typically large conglomerate businesses typically find ways to avoid tax payments. This ensures a higher base from them as well, which eventually goes into welfare programs, and national infrastructure improvements, as well as keeping income taxes and taxes on items such as gas low. |
