Bill: Waste Disposal Responsibility Amendment Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Progressive Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3856
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, We believe it is the Government's responsibility to take care of all it's citizens. This means disposing of the nation's waste in a controlled and safe manner. If we don't regulate the disposal of waste by all companies, this could leave room for unsafe and toxic dumping of waste in areas, such as lakes and rivers. This would harm our environment significantly and pollute our great nation. This bill will make sure that all waste is safely disposed of, and will protect our environment. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Waste disposal responsibility.
Old value:: Private companies are responsible for disposing of their own waste. The government disposes of residential waste.
Current: The government is responsible for waste disposal.
Proposed: The government is responsible for waste disposal.

Message | Mr. Speaker, While I agree that the proposed law will be more expensive for the government and therefore possibly decrease our surplus income, I do not see how the proposed law will complicate our current waste disposal system. -- Trevor Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Vice President of Lodamun |

Message | Mr.Speaker, Currently we need just to dispose the residential wastes. But wastes from private industries and companies will have massive amount of wastes. So will need better transportation and storage system.Thats what i mean by 'complicating' Tony |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The cost of the pollution and destruction to our environment will be far more expensive than what is proposed in this bill. This bill will ensure that all waste is disposed of safely. We believe that is money well spent, and in fact, we refute the assertion that this will be very expensive at all But I agree with the GNRG in respect to their latter point. This will not complicate anything. Rather, it would be a simple extension on the waste disposal system that is currently in place. And it would do a world of good. Finally, the UDHFU are ridiculous. Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
