Message | We have so many problems to solve back on Terra, in Dundorf, yet some parties clearly have their heads in the sky - literally. We'd like to know where the government will get the funding from to set-up a state space agency. Furthermore, we'd like to ask the Greens what is environmentally friendly about sending rockets full of polluting fuel into space and littering the galaxy with man-made products? |

Message | Shortsighted. Space exploration leads to advancements on earth. It is in the nature of human beings to learn and explore. Here are two examples where space activity could have dramatic impact on Terra as well. Space based solar systems could collect solar energy and beam it back to earth providing power 24 hours a day. Astroid spotting could alert us to a killer astroid so we could destroy it before it ended human life. Here is a bonus example. Weather satellites help farmers anticipate adverse weather. |

Message | What about the cost, where is the funding going to come from? This is going to be expensive and without altering the budget to accommodate this it means that cuts in other, more valuable areas of science and technology must be made. |

Message | The hard-left parties are acting as though the absence of a national space agency will mean there is zero space exploration. If there are really going to be such major technological and economic advances from space exploration, then private actors will have every incentive to pursue those advances too. - Lena Kraft (science spokesperson) |
