Message | Herr Speaker, I move this budget for vote. It provides only modest adjustments but gives greater scope for increased funds into Education, Health, Research and the Environment and provides necessary trimming to our excessively large Defence budget, which the outgoing Minister for Defence insisted was necessary - misleading our nation. We see this as a common sense budget, one which give proportional emphasis on the areas of life that matter most to our citizens and gives hope of a brighter future for many. Minister of Finance, Frau Claudia Koenig LZP |

Message | Frau Koenig, Misleading our nation? The Dorvish Armed Forces have commitments around the world that we must maintain. To do so would undermine our role as a leading humanitarian nation in the world. Cutting defense spending? This seems more an attack on the SNP rather then anything. You failed to cut your own Internal Affairs budget. How ironic. When we face the Zardics again, when we face the Lodamunese or the Hobrazians who are preparing for war at least you can raid the coffers and leave with millions of Dorvish dolgars. Yet again. Giving a million dolgar budget to the Head of Government which you control paying off your own politicians. You yet again show that the Liberals would rather pillage and destroy the Dorvish culture and people rather than protect them. I encourage your own coalitions members to reconsider and see to it that you really reconsider your positions. You also failed to provide a budget for and appoint ministers to the Ministry of Mass Communications and Information as well as the Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation. Youve totally failed the Dorvish people. Tanus von Desidier, President |

Message | Herr Speaker, Such provocative language from our Head of State is concerning to say the least. Review of the LZP's stance on the last budget would clear up a few incorrect, and frankly damaging, comments made. We voted against the previous budget citing that such drastic cuts to the Head of Government budget was unacceptable - we did so whilst the DKP were in office and unless we are able to see into the future there was no way that stance (which we maintain in this budget with integrity) could be based on an assumption that four years later the LZP would hold the great office of Staatkanzler. As for the other vitriolic and overtly militaristic themes in our Presidents rant, we leave it to this chamber to consider the implications of such high spending on defence when it is our belief that this budget gives more than enough scope to defend our interests both here and abroad. It would be more palatable to be preached at about lining our own nests were not the SNP so intrinsically woven into the military fabric of this nation. Obviously the SNP have friends they need to keep on side within the military apparatus. Herr speaker, once more we beseech the chamber to give a vote of support for a greater health service and education system, these alone can be sources of national pride that might be viewed by international partners as our greatest achievements, rather than who can build the biggest bombs. Message | Herr Speaker, We can't possibly agree with this proposal. Our economic situation won't be changed if we decrease our expenses by just one billion DDO, especially not if we start giving large portions of the money we save to the Bundeskanzler. We musn't cut the budget of our national defences, but we should cut the budgets of our national Health and Social Services. I ask Frau Koenig, a Liberal, to take this in consideration, because her Liberal ideology believes in personal responsibilities. Shouldn't we pay for our healthservices ourselves? Or are you more of a populist after all? |

Message | Herr Speaker, The Liberal Futures Party has failed to answer several of our questions. Why has the current government not named a Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, given them a budget or done anything with them? Why has the current government not named a Minister of Mass Communication and Information, nor given them a budget for what its worth? Why has the Liberal Futures Party enhanced the Ministries that they control, including giving a 1m DDO salary to the State Chancellor and kept a 7.5b DDO budget for the Interior ministry that has undergone such a massive reform that a budget of that size is not necessary. These are all questions that the Liberal Futures Party, our very own State Chancellor has refused to answer. As President of the Dorvish Republic I am inclined to believe that the Liberals do not care for the people they claim to represent. This is quite troublesome for this country. Tanus von Desidier, President of the Dorvish Republic. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
Random quote: "I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers." - Martin Luther King Jr. |
