Bill: Declaration of Permanent Neutrality
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radikálna Strana
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3876
Description[?]:
Deltaria hereby declares itself to be an armed neutral state in all international conflicts. Too much treasure has been expended on foreign conflicts - that treasure being of many forms - blood, gold and tears. No more of that. Deltaria shall focus on developing her economy and society and ensuring her security. We will not become blind nor will we refuse to engage with other countries in diplomacy and commerce. We just realise now with this Cildanan debacle that the wars of Majatra never end, violence only breeds more violence and our involvement only serves to increase the turmoil. Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
