Message | Madam Speaker, We are particularly concerned about Articles 3 and 4. This is the Conservatives attempting to boost corporate profits and the economy at the expense of our ecological well-being. GM crops are known for out-competing local species and reducing genetic diversity. Pesticides and herbicides harm human health and cause land and water pollution. And fishing, harming the sustainability of our maritime spaces, must remain banned for its ecological harms. |

Message | Madam Speaker, We will not stand for these personal attacks by the FLS. What we are doing is being pro science. We need to produce more food if we are to adequately provide for our citizens and drive down the cost of the grocery bill. We are aware some pesticides are harmful to the environment, but not all are which is why they will be approved case by case and regulated all together. |

Message | Madam Speaker, While we support environment protection, we believe only a wealthy country can ensure we can focus on earth protection. We therefore agree on this bill, providing a much needed breathing space to our agriculture. |

Message | Madam Speaker, We do not think this measure is necessary to provide food for our people. Transitioning to an agricultural industry of organic foods is indeed possible with innovation and government assistance. We can work for a better agricultural industry free of the environmental pollution of herbicides and pesticides or the loss to biodiversity associated with GM crops. This is the wrong way to sustainably expand our agricultural sector. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
