Message | Thoouts Aksiomatikos, We have similar opinion on this tax plan as we do for the budget plan: not that bad, yet. May as well cut taxes if we're cutting the budget. However, Coburans should recognize this plan as extremely disingenous. This planned is being framed as primarily benefiting the lower and middle classes when that's obviously not true. The slashing the 40, 50, and 60 percent tax brackets it incredibly clear who this plan is designed to benefit. Despite all the pseudo-populist nonsense Semayawi has been spewing over the last election cycle to get votes, it should be clear now that Semayawi is a party by the elite, for the elite. Message | OOC: It makes sense to me. Thoouts Aksiomatikos, The scrapping of those rates is a necessary part of killing our image as the tax devils of Majatra. Until Jakania caught up, we were one of the highest taxing jurisdictions. Now with a top rate of 29% we will tend towards the lowest, lower than Zardugal and Jakania at least, but still far ahead of those lie Deltaria or Jelbania. Tesfaye Bishaw Vizier of Finance |
