Description[?]:
As Minister of Foreign Affairs, I have been contacted by the National Brotherhood for Prosperity the junior party in Rutania's Coalition Government. They are currently in a state of instability, and are under threat from far-right fascists who have asked for intervention from the right-wing government of Dundorf to overthrow their properly elected government and replace it with a fascist state. I come before parliament to ask them what we should do in this situation, we share a common language and culture with the Rutanian's and I believe we should keep close contact with their government and work militarily with the current government in order to keep the peace and put down the fascist threat. Rt Hon Christian Mulcair, Minister of Foreign Affairs. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of Mr. Mulcair's proposition. The actions of the United Nationalists are atrocious. They, singlehandedly, created the current situation in Rutania through their actions. They claim that they are fighting Communists but, in reality, they are fighting against the elected conservative government of Rutania. Rutania is a democratic republic and, as such, its government's legitimacy comes from the will of the people as expressed in elections. The United Nationalists are circumventing that process. Luthori must support the legitimate government of Rutania but we must also ensure that our support does not extend to the Communists. I would recommend that our support for the Rutanian government be contingent upon them not bringing the Communists into the government. I must also state that Dundorf's actions in this matter are deplorable. Supporting Fascists against a legitimate conservative government is an atrocious action for supposed "Conservative Monarchists" like their current government. Their actions only make sense as an attempt to undo the current balance of power on Artania. The Empire must oppose such bald faced aggression and show Dundorf their place on this continent. Mr. Mulcair, you have the full support of the National Union in your actions in support of the Rutanian government. I yield. Hugh Donovan MP for Utagia Leader of the LNUP |

Message | OOC: Dundorf will not be continuing this RP until it is agreed upon that Dundorf was originally in this to overthrow a communist regime. We are a right-winged nation so it makes no sense on why we would want to overthrow or go against any right-winged parties. If we are RPing a civil war then the right-winged parties need to ally themselves together against the left. I threw the terrorist thing in there to make the election make some form of sense, but clearly it did not. I am fine with doing an RP, but we gotta make sense in some way. Our nations only fight together to take down leftist parties who hold too much power. Until Dundorf and Rutania figure this out I ask that you hold this bill. Parties Dundorf would support: - National Brotherhood for Prosperity - United Nationalists - Rutania Conservative Party *I am assuming these parties are right-winged, but you get the idea.* |

Message | OOC: Firstly, a Civil War in Rutania is highly unlikely, I have played in the nation twice before and it is a very developed one with a relatively advanced military that could easily take out a small revolutionary force. You guys would also need to come up with an OOC agreement prior to the civil war determining who would win and a general idea of what would happen, this is mandatory if you want the war recognized. Oh also, I forgot to mention this but ever since my party has been the largest in government the speaker has been female, so please use Madam Speaker. IC: Madam Speaker, The far-right presence in Rutania is very concerning, the Conservatives don't support radical ideologies of any form and we believe that the radicalization of the political parties in Rutania is a serious issue. The far-right social and far-left fiscal ideology within the United Nationalists is deeply concerning, especially their stances against the LGBT Community and Minorities. Though we believe the Rutanian Government is more than capable with handling the situation, the forces within the United Nationalists are disorganized and the Rutanian Military can defeat them with a swift blow. Intervention is unnecessary, it is pointless to put the lives of the Men and Women of our military on the line when we don't need to. Our top priority should be withdrawing from this cooperation treaty that we mistakenly signed with Dundorf as well as securing our interests and repairing our Empire, starting with the re-ratification of the treaties laying Luthori's rightful claim on Jakania, Hobrazia and Alduria. Message | OOC: Just realized that treaty never actually passed, thank goodness. |

Message | Madame Speaker The Liberal Alliance will not support a military intervention unless our own borders are threatened. Otherwise, extremely good argumentation could get us on other thoughts. However we will start as negative in this issue. I yield |
