| Message | OOC: I hesitate about this. Part of the reasons why moves were made for early elections in past cases of deactivation, at least for me, was that it enabled certain options for coalitions that ought not realistically be possible on the basis of the election results. For me, the convention was more or less that if the deactivation led to a minority government suddenly becoming a majority or, for example, enabling constitutional changes to be made, we ought to have new elections. Same when a longstanding feature of the system vanishes right after elections and this can't be explained ICly. We could explain the DKSP's disappearance by saying that the new party folded in on itself and is now represented by a few warring factions of independents or something. I'll abstain to avoid the appearance that I'm doing this because I'm now in government. I'll let you guys establish what the convention ought to be. |
