WHEREAS - Foreign religions that practice violent actions or extremist dialogue can create violence, crime and terrorism - The Republic must be able to intervene in dangerous appointments of extremist elements - Advertising can radicalize young Likatonians into dangerous religions and violent cults THEREFORE SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE 1. This Act may be referred to as the Accountable Churches Act SECTION 2. FOREIGN MISSIONARIES 2. A Foreign Missionary entering the Republic will be required to identify at least 2 months in advance of the trip 3. Foreign Missionaries will be required to provide: a. Citizenship from a nation in good-standing b. Criminal record c. Letter of intent stating the purpose of the visit and duration of the visit, signed by 2 witnesses in origin nation d. Sample of DNA to Ministry of Internal Affairs 4. Foreign Missionaries will be subject to the laws and regulations of the Republic during the duration of the visit 5. Foreign Missionaries must register the visit that is; a. Not longer than 2 months in duration b. Not within 2 years of the most recent visit from that Missionary SECTION 3. INTERVENTION IN APPOINTMENTS OF RELIGIOUS FIGURES 6. Any religious appointment or title must be sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs at least 1 month prior to the appointment 7. The Minister of Internal Affairs or the High Chancellor may veto any appointment they deem suspicious 8. The Ministry of Internal Affairs may suspend any appointment for further review; a. The suspension must not be longer than 12 months SECTION 4. ADVERTISING OF RELIGIONS 9. Any religious advertisement must first be consulted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at least 6 months in advance 10. The Minister of Internal Affairs or the High Chancellor may veto any advertising campaign by a religious organization 11. The Ministry of Internal Affairs can suspend any advertising campaign for a period not longer than 24 months for further review. |
