We have better alternatives available to us then to use the addictive cannabis as sedative for patients in pain. Therefore, I propose we no longer use cannabis for this medical purpose.

Cannabis isn't addictive unless you have a weak will power. Morphine, Codeine, Vicodin, Tramadol, etc. all rewire your brain to make you dependent on them.
