Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Alliance of Saridan

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3972

Description[?]:

This bill will essentially ensure that Saridan establishes a health profession regulatory body. This Act will govern all our activities, clearly defines the scope of each profession which it mandates to register with the Saridani Health Professions Council, and sets clear processes to be followed in cases of doctors, surgeons, psychologist's, counselors et al that do not adhere to standards of professional conduct and to determine what constitutes malpractice in order to protect all patients against this.

MessageMr. Spreker,

I do not see a reason to reform Saridan's well-functioning malpractice suit law. Klaus Van Der Linden himself was a doctor and always underlined the general negative effects of overusing malpractice suits.

MessageMr Spreker,

Not too sure the reasoning behind why the LU thinks or considers that only in the instance of death that it would be regarded as malpractice. A regulatory body will enhance the quality of health by developing strategic policy frameworks for effective co-ordination and guidance of setting healthcare standards for training and discipline in the professionals registered with the council and also on-going professional competence; and fostering compliance with those standards. Surely the LU wants to protect all patients in Saridan? Or maybe just the unqualified "practicing doctors" and not holding them accountable? We're not sure.

MessageMr Spreker,

The Communist Party of Saridan votes in favour of this new proposition to reform and regulate the healthcare judiciary system that will in turn enhance quality of care and benefit patients.

MessageMr. Spreker,

Medical specialists are solid LU electorate, we must protect them from unjust and tiring court cases and thus cannot let this pass. More doctors will be unjustly accused by desperate patients than Malpracticers will be caught. Every party has its electorate, which interests it has to protect in the Federal Parliament and so do we.

MessageMr Spreker,

We support this initiative, and we are not surprised that the LU is once again fighting for the elites and trying to shit on the common people.
