Message | Mr speaker, let us start with the benefits of article one. Article one is necessary for the safety and wellbeing of orphans. We believe that if a person is capable of looking after a child they can take a test, to prove they can. Adoption is important but isn't safe enough. Many parties might argue this article makes it more difficult to get adopted. It really doesn't. We believe article two is important also because if someone makes a crime against humanity they should be punished sufficiently. This puts people off terrorism and certain criminal ideals. Article three means that the government can determine the exact number of citizens in the nation at a time. Article four allows people to celebrate without worrying about being arrested. Article five simply would introduce an advisory service that lets people know of graphic content, swearing etc. Etc in films shown at home and in cinemas. This would prevent the poisoning of the children's (and in some cases adults) minds. Article six stops people from walking around outside without clothes on. This is important to reintroduce decency and manners into Rutania. |
Date | 00:56:16, January 25, 2016 CET | From | The Worker's Union (WU) | To | Debating the The nationalism act |
Message | Mr Speaker, The Worker's Union would only accept Article 2, on the legality of fireworks, and Article 4, on the Government's adoption policy. We see no reason for us to restrict multiple citizenships, we have passports and border checks to keep a census of Rutanian citizens living within our borders. We do not believe the Government has a right to take away the someone's life, no matter how severe the crime. Accidents happen in the justice system and once someone is executed they are dead and that cannot be taken back. We believe citizens should be allowed to do as they wish in their homes as long as they don't cause any harm, and for this reason we cannot support extending the Government set of standards to home viewings of films. Last of all there is nothing inherently immoral or rude about nudity, since it is a humans natural state. People should be free to wear what they want or not wear what they don't want to without the Government interfering in their lives. -Chairman Scott Pearson of the Worker's Union. |

Message | Mr speaker, we only want to change the laws on multiple citizenship because it is easier to know how many people live in the country and work in their interests. Also a child could become mentally ill by watching a violent film. It is the governments Job to look after citezens not let them run riot. |
