Bill: 3989 Articles of Confederation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bailonese Council Communist Party (BCCP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3989

Description[?]:

Fellow countrymen, the council communists and conservatives have united in comradeship, despite our parties representing near polar-opposite economic beliefs. Both of our parties have one thing in common: the respect for self-determination. Without self-determination, even our own country, Beluzia, would not exist.

There is never a time for forced unity, give freedom back to the locals, let them govern themselves. Do not be afraid of self-governance. Embrace it and it will embrace you.

There is no unity without respect, let us not force conflicting ideologues together and expect them to get along. Let us respect our differences and draw firm lines between us. Through peaceful division will come everlasting peace.

We ask other parties to try and recall a period in history where conservative and communist parties have worked hand-in-hand as comrades. The Conservative Party and the BCCP have achieved the impossible, the union of the left and the right.

Join us and let us allow the diversity of Beluzia to shine in its ability to maintain its own cultural integrity. Let the people of Bailon rule the people of Bailon, let the people of Parlos Decina, Iliathar, Iker Ado and Negunia control their own affairs.

We can still trade for what we cannot produce, but let the locals shape a destiny of their own, a present made by them and for them, and a future that awaits their sole authority.

After all, he who does not grant freedom to others, does not deserve any freedom himself. The cry of the oppressed under the tyranny of the largest minorities will continue until their chains break free.

Long live free Beluzia!

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.
